A State of Confusion

You know, it’s not every day that someone special comes into your life, but when that person arrives? You hold on to them, cherish them. Never let them go. Tell them how much they mean to you. Life is too short to leave things unspoken.

So to my best friend, I love you with all my heart. You have been there when I thought I was going to lose everything. You kept me laughing, my spirit high and listened with no judgement. You will never know what your encouragement meant. I want nothing but best for you, always. And I’ll even make you a sandwich. ;)

Relatively fine, with the exception of two things. 

1.  My foot fucking hurts so bad. I don’t know what I did to it, but I’m not thrilled it’s hurting again. This is the foot that I’ve had four surgeries on. Can I lop it off?

2. My mother blames me for everything that is wrong in her life. She freely points out everything that I do wrong and I’m fed up.

The two things that have redeemed this day are:

My son and his kisses and hugs

My best friend cheering me up and making me laugh.

Life is a funny thing. When you’re young, you can be so selfish. For me, when I had my son, my whole world shifted. I was no longer the center of my world, he was. Even now that he’s growing up so fast, I find that he is the reason I do the things I do. I’m responsible for another human being. A responsibility I don’t take lightly. I never knew I could love another as much as I love my son. Even as he grows, that love will never die, it will grow, strengthen and I take comfort in knowing that my boy KNOWS I love him. I tell him every chance I get.

Some people do not belong in corrections. When you tell me that you don’t care if an inmate dies, I have a fucking problem with that. Granted, the people I deal with on a daily basis aren’t society’s best, but you can’t be an ignorant excuse for a human and not care if the die! We aren’t the judge, jury or the motherfucking executioner.

When you find someone special, you hold on to them and don’t let go. That special someone doesn’t have to be a lover, it can be a best friend.

My best friend is a wonderful man, who actually gets my weird sense of humor. This man is sweet, funny and very witty. I truly can’t imagine my life without him in it. You rock so hard, windows bang!
